FAQ – Bagasse Taco Box / Clamshell Taco Tray (Hydepackage)
Q1: Are these bagasse taco boxes really compostable?
A: Yes. They are made from 100% sugarcane bagasse (plant fiber) and are fully compostable. Under industrial composting conditions, they typically break down within 90–120 days. Many versions also meet OK Compost Home or BPI standards.
Q2: Can these taco boxes hold hot and greasy food without leaking?
A: Yes. Bagasse material is naturally grease-resistant and heat-tolerant. They perform well with hot tacos, sauces, and oily fillings, and will not easily get soggy or leak when used properly.
Q3: Are the taco clamshells microwave-safe?
A: Yes. Most bagasse taco boxes and trays are microwave-safe (usually up to 100–120°C / 220°F for short periods). They are also freezer-safe. Always avoid prolonged high-heat exposure.
Q4: How many tacos can a 2-compartment or 3-compartment box hold?
A:
2-compartment: Usually fits 2 tacos + side space for rice, beans or salsa.
3-compartment: Comfortably holds 3 tacos upright, or 2 tacos + sides. Exact capacity depends on taco size (soft or hard shell).
